Below are the most common types\nof porous pavements, what they are conventionally used for, and why they are recommended\nfor such applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u27a4 Bound Recycled Glass Porous Pavement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This type of porous pavement is comprised of recycled glass,\nand bound together using resins and similar kinds of binding agents. Since it\nis a recycled product, it is a great initiative for the environment. Common\napplications include road and pedestrian paving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u27a4 Permeable Clay Brick Pavers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Permeable clay brick pavements are made from fired clay. Similar\nto interlocking pavers, clay brick pavers can be laid out in custom patterns\nand filled in with organic material like soil or grass, or with cement and aggregate\nmaterial. These are mostly used for decorative or architectural applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u27a4 Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar to clay brick pavers, interlocking pavements can be\nlaid out in custom patterns and filled in with organic material like soil or\ngrass, and they are mostly used for decorative or architectural applications in\npublic areas, like parks, plazas, and pools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u27a4 Plastic Grids<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Plastic grid pavements offer 100% permeability, making them perfect\nfor areas where water runoff and drainage are issues. They are gaining\npopularity due to LEED project requirements. They are commonly used to\nreinforce gravel driveways, parking lots, and fire lanes.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u27a4 Porous Asphalt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Porous asphalt is unique because it is not concrete, but\nrather, a bitumen mixture. It\u2019s most common application is for highway and\ninterstate drainage and water runoff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u27a4 Porous Turf <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Porous turf is a type of pavement that is mostly used in\nareas where parking it an occasional occurrence, such as state fairs,\ncarnivals, churches, stadiums, and marinas. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u27a4 Resin-Bound Paving<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Resin-bound pavements are pavements made aggregate and held\ntogether with a clear resin. &nbsp;They are\ncommonly used for pedestrian and road paving, such as sidewalks, walkways,\ndriveways, and parking lots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u27a4 Single-Sized Aggregate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Single-sized aggregate is a type of pavement that does not have any binder material.
